The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced that train services between Jahangirpuri and Samaypur Badli stations will remain disrupted for over ten days, starting Wednesday, December 18. The affected services are due to maintenance work and will impact both late-night and early-morning operations.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), DMRC confirmed that trains between Jahangirpuri and Samaypur Badli will not operate after 10:45 PM until the end of service and from the start of service till 7:02 AM each day. These restrictions will continue until the intervening night of December 28 and 29.
During this period, Samaypur Badli, Haiderpur Badli Mor, and Rohini Sector 18-19 stations will remain closed. However, services on the Jahangirpuri to Millennium City Centre Gurugram route will operate normally.
DMRC clarified, “Samaypur Badli, Rohini Sector-18, 19, and Haiderpur Badli Mor stations shall remain closed during this period. However, normal train services will remain available between Jahangirpuri and Millennium City Centre Gurugram.”
Red Line Services Also Affected
In another announcement, DMRC stated that train services on the Red Line (Line-1) from Keshav Puram to Rithala will be unavailable after 11:30 PM every night, starting Tuesday, December 18, and continuing until December 31/January 1, 2025.
The disruptions are part of ongoing maintenance to ensure smooth operations in the long run. Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly and check for updates on DMRC’s official social media handles.
