AS the countdown begin for the Coronation. Queen Camilla is officially titled with her new title of Queen on Coronation invitation for King Charles III coronation on May 6 on Tuesday with a new portrait of their Majesties. Buckingham Palace released the invitation for the Monarch’s on May 6 when Charles ascended the throne following the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II, who died in September,2022. Queen Elizabeth II was the longest-reigning monarch in British history and was greatly respected and beloved by many around the world. The British monarchy has established protocols and procedures in place to manage the transition of power upon the death of a monarch, and these procedures would be followed when the time comes. King Charles and Camilla first met in the early 1970s and became romantically involved, but they broke up when Charles was deployed overseas with the Royal Navy. Charles married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981 and had two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, but the couple’s marriage was tumultuous and ended in divorce in 1996.
Charles and Camilla rekindled their relationship in the late 1990s, and they married in a civil ceremony in 2005. Since their marriage, Camilla has taken on numerous royal duties and is an active supporter of a number of charities and organizations. The couple is also known for their commitment to environmental and sustainability issues.
