The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru recently uncovered an illegal operation involving a so-called “girlfriend swapping” racket under the guise of private parties. Two individuals, identified as Harish and Hemant, were arrested for allegedly running this illicit operation, which they reportedly named “Swingers.” The racket is said to have targeted couples and women, luring them into private gatherings before exploiting them through coercion and blackmail.
The investigation began after a woman came forward and filed a complaint, detailing her ordeal. She alleged that she was forced to engage in certain activities under the pretext of these parties. According to reports, the accused used blackmail and threats, leveraging private information and images to intimidate victims into compliance. The woman also stated that one of the accused was known to her, which further facilitated their manipulation.
The racket, operating in Bengaluru, has shed light on the misuse of social gatherings and private parties to exploit individuals. The term “swingers” was used as a cover to attract participants under the pretense of consensual activities. However, the reality involved coercive tactics, deception, and exploitation.
Authorities have emphasized that such operations not only violate legal boundaries but also compromise the safety and dignity of individuals. The Bengaluru police are now intensifying efforts to identify others who might be involved in the network, either as victims or perpetrators.
This incident highlights the importance of caution when participating in private social events and emphasizes the need for strict legal actions against such exploitative activities. Police have urged citizens to report any suspicious events or individuals and ensure their safety by avoiding situations that seem questionable.
The case has sparked discussions across India about the growing misuse of social platforms and private gatherings for illegal operations. Bengaluru, known for its vibrant social scene, has been under scrutiny due to a rise in similar cases. This incident serves as a reminder to remain vigilant and prioritize personal safety in all interactions.
The two accused are now in police custody, and further investigations are underway. Authorities are also working on creating awareness about such rackets to prevent individuals from falling victim to these manipulative schemes.
