CBI Team Reached to Investigate Rabri Devi fodder scam again

Today 12 members of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has reached former Bihar chief Minister and wife of Rastriya Janata Dal Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi residence to investigate Land for job scam. Many RJD leaders protest outside Rabri Devi residence. The police force has been deployment at the gate of Rabri Devi residence.

Lalu Yadav and  Rabri Devi son, Tejaswi Yadav who is a deputy CM of Bihar take part in breakfast organized by His Excellency the Governor of  Bihar at Raj Bhavan today along with other senior leaders including Hon’ble Chief Minister.

The land for job scam, also known as the fodder scam, is a corruption case involving former Chief Minister of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav, and his wife Rabri Devi, among others. The scam relates to the embezzlement of government funds meant for the purchase of fodder for cattle in Bihar in the 1990s.

In the land for job scam, Rabri Devi was accused of illegally giving away land in exchange for jobs during her tenure as the Chief Minister of Bihar. It was alleged that she had illegally transferred government land to individuals in return for jobs for their relatives in the Bihar State Animal Husbandry Department.

The investigation into the land for job scam was conducted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which filed charges against several individuals, including Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, and other government officials. In 2013, Lalu Prasad Yadav and several others were convicted in one of the cases related to the fodder scam, while Rabri Devi was acquitted.

In 2018, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a chargesheet against Rabri Devi and her son Tejashwi Yadav in connection with a money laundering case related to the land for job scam. The ED alleged that Rabri Devi and her family had acquired properties worth crores of rupees through illegal means.

Overall, the land for job scam is a significant corruption case in Bihar’s political history, and the legal proceedings related to the case are ongoing.
