New Delhi, India: The election commission of India announce the date of Himachal Pradesh assembly election which is going to happen from November 12 while the counting of the votes on December 8. But we are waiting for both state election date. Election Commission didn’t announce the date for Gujarat election as the term of both the state assemblies are end within six months, usually elections take place in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh at same time.
Chief Election Commission Rajiv Kumar said by addressing the media team today, “Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly has 68 Seats among which 55 Lakh People are eligible to vote while 1.86 Lakh voters are voting first-time and 1.22 lakh voters are above 80 years”.
Why Gujarat Election date didn’t announce today?
By addressing the Media Chief Election Commission Said”, There is a gap of 40 days between the term end of states assemblies. According to the rules and protocols, it should be at least 30 days so that one state result can’t affect other state. Further Mr Kumar said”. He takes consultation with many other participants. Commission wants to hold the Himachal Pradesh Election before the snowfall.
