Prof G Sankara Pillai Award 2022 will give to Theater person Maya Tangeberg

Prof G Sankara Pillai Award for 2022 will be given to Maya Tangeberg on June 22 for his contribution to the development of theater. Minister for Co-operation and Registration Government of Kerala will hand over the Award at the event that begins from 6Pm onward at Rangaprabhath Theatre Complex, Alumthara, Venjaramoodu.

Who is Maya Tangeberg?

Maya Tangeberg born in Switzerland. She Visited India in 1980 to visit the School of Drama and attend the workshop in Thrissur. She was invited by Prof G Sankara Pillai and became the Director of the School.  She also learnt Bharatanatyam, Kathakali and Koodiyattam and Conducted several Workshop. She also directed five Production under her supervision. She also visted Rangaprabhath in 1987 and two play during her time. Currently is working on the workshop for the new generation coming artist at Rangaprabhath.
